Community Catalyst and Halloween Contest Winner – Christie McCullen

This month, we’re proud to congratulate Christie McCullen for winning the PublicStuff Halloween Costume Contest! We challenged our community catalysts last month to submit a picture of themselves or someone else in a Halloween Costume next to a service request they were reporting with the hashtag #haunted for a chance to win a $100 Amazon Gift Card. Christie won the award for the service request she submitted for Plano Texas.

We asked Christie what her inspiration was for participating in the contest! Here’s what she had to say:

PS: How did you hear about PublicStuff?

From a friend.  She told me about the app to get curbs fixed.

PS: Why do you take the time to submit requests to your city?

I’d like to see things fixed to improve the look of the neighborhood.

PS: What  has surprised you about using the app to report issues to your city?

You can track the process on your computer and get updates as needed.

PS: Can you tell us a little about the photo that you submitted for the Halloween contest? Who is in the photo and what was the inspiration?

We were walking along Halloween night and tripped over an uneven sidewalk.  I remembered the contest so I had my daughter take her picture with the broken sidewalk.  She’s dressed as Big Bird.

Thank you Christie McCullen for being a catalyst in your community to report issues and get things fixed – like broken sidewalks! The picture of your daughter as big bird is also too cute for words!

If you’d like to join Christie and her daughter in cleaning up Plano, Texas check out the city’s page. If your town is elsewhere, look it up on our homepage. We look forward to your submissions to help build better communities!
